MY COOKING PHILOSOPHY IS TO KEEP IT “HEALTHY AND EASY.”
RECIPES AT HAMMERS N HUGS WILL INCLUDE ALL-NATURAL INGREDIENTS THAT CAN OFTEN BE FROZEN AND HAVE BEEN TESTED AND APPROVED BY FRIENDS AND FAMILY!
When we first build our raised garden beds one of the things I was most excited about was planting a Caprese garden.
A 4×8 garden bed planted with basil and the other half planted with beef steak tomatoes.
If only mozzarella could be planted and grown with such ease.
I got the idea for this recipe last summer when my girls friends and I were on a spa getaway.
The restaurant at the hotel stacked the sliced tomatoes, mozzarella, and basil into a beautiful display.
I decided to recreate the plate with the addition of chicken.
Enjoy this pretty recreation of the traditional caprese salad.
Bon appetit!
