Easy Granola Acai Bowl Recipe
My very first experience with the ever popular “acai bowl” was last February when I was in Honolulu, Hawaii at the International Stroke Conference. It was amazing, but I have to confess it has been tough to replicate the fresh flavor of Hawaii here in Pennsylvania. Ha.
That being said the acai berry – a super fruit native to Brazil – has so many documented health benefits it seemed worth trying to create a recipe that would be easy to make and enjoy.
According to research reported by Healthline, some of the most exciting benefits to this super food include:
- High nutrient density
- Rich in antioxidants
- Lower cholesterol
- Increases cancer resistance
- Improves neuro-cognitive function
Without further ado, let’s check out this easy granola acai bowl recipe (with only 22g net carbs per bowl by the way)!! So many wins!
Bon appetit!
Easy Granola Acai Bowl Recipe
I want to point out here that I use Orgain’s Vanilla Protein Powder, FGO’s Acai Powder, and Costco’s Kirkland Granola Mix (it is THE BEST).
Since we have started incorporating this powerhouse dish into our weekly diet, I created shortcut by making my own acai bowl mix that I store in this 1 qt OXO container with a coffee scoop for quick serving.
