Meal Plan #87 & Vinegar Cleaning Hacks
Happy meal planning Monday! Enjoy this week’s healthy recipes and 5 amazing vinegar cleaning hacks for the kitchen.
How was everyone’s weekend? A while ago I polled you on Instagram and asked what content you most benefited from or want to see more of – the top two were recipes and home life hacks. So we are shaking things up around here and each Monday in addition to sharing that week’s healthy dinner meal plan we will also include one life hack.
Today we are sharing 5 amazing vinegar cleaning hacks that you will definitely want to save for later especially with the holidays coming up!
Deodorize the kitchen, and relieve cold symptoms.
Remove any unpleasant kitchen odors prior to your holiday guests arriving and also help clear sinus congestion from a head cold. Mix 1 part vinegar to 2 parts water in a pot on the stove and bring to a boil. Allow it to boil until the liquid is gone. This will eliminate any leftover cooking odors from the baked fish before your guests arrive.
Clean sink stains, and deodorize the garbage disposal.
The sink takes a heavy hit every holiday season. Pour 3 cups of water into a plugged sink. Fill your sink with hot water and allow it to sit for 3 hours. Allow the sink to drain down the disposal. Wipe down the sink and easily remove the stubborn grime.
Give your appliances a refresh.
Dishwasher – Pour 1 cup vinegar into the bottom of the dishwasher and run one cycle without dishes.
Stove Top – Mix 1 part vinegar to 2 parts water, and spray the top of the stove. Allow to sit for several minutes and then wipe down.
Microwave – Mix 1/4 c vinegar and 1 c water in a glass bowl and microwave for 5 minutes. Wipe down the inside of the microwave.
Disinfect cutting boards.
Sprinkle baking soda over the cutting board and then spray vinegar over top and allow to bubble for 10 minutes. Wipe down with a cool cloth.
Make your glassware sparkle.
Add extra shine to your glassware for your holiday guests by adding 1/4 c vinegar to your dishwasher’s rinse cycle.
Save these vinegar cleaning hacks for the coming holiday season. Now onto this week’s meal plan. In case you missed any posts last week you can read them here!
