Meal Plan #85 & Board Games

Happy meal planning Monday! This weekend was full of football x’s and o’s, board games, and one last summer camp.

Gracie wrapped up her last camp of summer – musical theater at the Dutch Apple Dinner Theater here in Lancaster.

All the kids did such a great job. It’s been fun to watch Gracie’s confidence grow from being on stage. On the first day of camp, she came home and said she tried out for a showcase solo. A year ago she would have needed a lot of encouragement to work up the courage to even try out.

She ended up with 2 solos. All the kids did such a great job!

On this particular day when we went to see the final showcase, I realized Lily was dressed as you see her below.

It was 90+ degrees out, and she was wearing one winter boot and one sandal not to mention the simple fact they didn’t match. When I asked her if she could put on her other sandal her exact words were, “No thank you. I like it this way.” <sigh>

At least she was polite about her frustratingly fashion-forward footwear. Oh well. We pick our battles with this one.

football

We always gauge the end of summer when the football season starts. This is Zach’s 8th year coaching football, and it has been fun to watch Caleb become more and more interested in the football x’s and o’s. Zach loves it. He casts the film footage onto the tv and Caleb sits there with his little notebook and comes up with plays and recommendations.

football moves

Like the twist move? Apparently, it’s a real thing. I wouldn’t know.

I love watching my kids play games together. Because we are living in a rental house, and we consolidated our storage unit – we have furniture stuffed in the most random places. Like this table sitting by the window. It has gotten more use than our dining table.

It drives me nuts when Caleb makes ridiculous faces for pictures. He asked me to smile for this pic, and I made the above face. I guess the apple doesn’t fall from the tree after all.

I’ve had several questions about my next round of the FASTer Way which will start Monday, September 12th! You can sign up anytime to get a head start on the strategies!
