Meal Plan #70 & Couch Snuggling
Happy meal plan Monday! This weekend was the first in months that we had nada to do. No projects. No house plans. No events. It was fabulous.
Instead, there was a lot of game playing. Food eating. And couch snuggling.
Lily is terrifyingly adept at games and especially boasts an affinity for winning UNO. It is statistically suspicious how often she wins this game.
The other day Lily asked me if I wanted to play UNO, and I said “Sure if you’re ready to get CRUSHED.” She shrugged a shoulder and casually said, “Nah, cuz I’m gonna win.”
And she did.
My girl. I love it.
Caleb, on the other hand, is terrifying adept at sleeping in the weirdest places. If you have been around here for some time, then you have witnessed his strange sleeping habits.
This weekend I came to wake up the kids and couldn’t find him in his bed but I knew he wasn’t downstairs.
He slept most of Saturday night as you see him, and I’m reminded once again how futile his pillow is. In fact, last night I removed the large rubber toy hippo his head was laying on and replaced it with his pillow. You can see Barbecue (the hippo) in the picture above. I just don’t know about this child.
Reading books at “school.”
Meet our resident pancake aficionado. Most weekends we make a homemade breakfast, and this pancake recipe is our go-to!
Our pancake chef also happens to have the cutest smile in the world.
11 years ago it was those dimples that made me look twice 😉
Anytime this boy sits still enough to snuggle for more than 30 seconds it’s a picture-worthy moment.
