Meal Plan #109 & Olive Oil Hacks
Happy meal planning Monday! Enjoy this week’s healthy recipes and 4 olive oil hacks that you can use in some uncommon ways around the home.
When you think of olive oil, I’m sure the first thing that pops into your head is using it in cooking, like drizzling it over a fresh salad and bread. You can actually use olive oil in many other ways around the home and also on your face and body!
Remove paint from hair
If you’re an avid painter or DIYer, there are times when paint can get in your hair. Next time this happens, take a cotton ball with some olive oil and gently rub it into your hair. The same approach is also effective for removing mascara (just be sure to wipe your eyes with a tissue when done!)
Make your own furniture polish
Combine two parts olive oil with 1 part lemon juice or white vinegar in a spray bottle. Shake it up and spritz it on your wooden furniture. Let the mixture sit for about a minute, then wipe off with a cloth or paper towel.
Substitute for shaving cream
Out of shaving cream? Use olive oil, which makes it easier for the blade to glide and also moisturizes your skin at the same time!
Fix a squeaky door
If you need to get rid of a squeaky door, grab your olive oil and a paper towel or rag. Rub it ont the top of the hinge, and it should fix the squeak instantly!
