The secret ingredient? Instant vanilla pudding.

I use the Jello brand “Simply Good” line which is all-natural flavoring without artificial dyes or preservatives.  Our local grocery store often has these available, but if yours does not they can be bought in a pack of 12 on Amazon here

You can see why this easy fruit salad recipe could pass for a dessert.

In fact, it would be more accurate to call this a fruit salad pudding.

It is truly delicious.  The only other fruit I will use that is not included in the picture below is kiwi. 

It adds a beautiful touch of green to the rainbow of colors packed with antioxidant goodness.

This recipe is a go-to for large gatherings and parties.

Secret Ingredient Fruit Salad – Easy Recipe

So as not to waste the delicious fruit juice, I mix the pudding with the pineapple juice and the peach juice.  I use a jar of my canned peaches, but using the juice from store-bought canned peaches works as well!

One of the keys to this recipe is to mix the pudding into the fruit juice really well so that there aren’t any clumps.  Whisk away!

Once you have poured the fruit into the bowl, mix gently to coat all of the fruit with the pudding mixture.

Put in the fridge for approx 1 hr to get the creamy texture or enjoy right away!

Ingredients
  

  • 3 oz all-natural instant vanilla pudding
  • 29 oz can peaches
  • 1 pint blueberries
  • ยฝ bunch grapes
  • 20 oz can pineapple chunks
  • 4 kiwis sliced
  • 1 qt strawberries quartered
  • 2 bananas sliced

Instructions
 

  • Mix the pudding with the peach and pineapple juice. Whisk well.
  • Add the rest of the fruit and mix gently, coatingย the fruit with the pudding mixture. Refrigerate for 1 hr.
