Meal Plan #104 & Epsom Salts Hacks

Happy meal planning Monday! Enjoy this weekโ€™s healthy recipes and 4 Epsom salts hacks that you can use around your home and garden.

While Epsom salts are great for soaking in a warm bath and relieving any joint or muscle stiffness, they can also be used in a variety of ways around your home and garden – making it a great product to always have on hand. Here are some of my favorite ways to use Epsom salts!

Fertilize tomatoes and houseplants

Epsom salts are actually a great fertilizer for both your garden and houseplants. Add a tablespoon of Epsom salts to the soil to encourage growth, and you’re sure to have the tallest tomato plants on the block.

Clean bathroom tiles

Mix equal parts Epsom salts and liquid dish detergent to create a bathroom cleaner. Dab it onto your tiles and start scrubbing. The salts and dish detergent work together to dissolve the dirt and grime.

Regenerate a car battery

If your car battery is starting to die and you’re not sure you’ll make it to your next destination, grab your Epsom salts! Dissolve about an ounce in warm water and add it to each battery cell to give it a little more life.

Make your grass greener

The grass is greener on the other side no more! Epsom salts add magnesium and iron to your soil, which helps make it greener. Add two tablespoons to one gallon of water and spread it on your lawn.

Now onto this weekโ€™s meal plan!
