Coffee Chat & A Family Affair
Happy Saturday! Grab a cuppa jo and join us for a fun look at the week in review including a very special family affair coming next summer!
A year after my sister crashed our beach vacation with Zach’s extended family, Zach’s cousin Tyler proposed.
You can imagine it will be quite the family affair, and reminiscent of another wedding that happened 11 years ago now.
It is hard to believe that 12 years later the maid of honor in my wedding will be marrying the cousin of that groom.
Confused? It took Gracie a minute too. “So my aunt will be a cousin and my cousin will be my uncle?” Welcome to the other side of the family “Cuncle Tyler.”
Our wedding party invites were worth noting, by the way.
My invite.
Gracie’s invite.
Caleb’s invite.
Lily’s invite.
Zach’s invite. Classic.
The cast of A Tale Of Two Cities has given Gracie such a wonderful introduction to musical theater. These 4 are the only junior members of the primarily adult cast. If you are local and want to see an incredibly talented performance, then you do not want to miss this show. The music is phenomenal and the message is powerful. You can get your tickets here. If you are interested in seeing Gracie play the lead, then you will want to come on October 16th 🙂
Mornings before school be like shoes in reverse, beanie babies stuffed in shirts, and spontaneous break dancing.
Spending lots of time with my girls chatting about life.
This night, however, someone was feeling left out.
I don’t know about you but I do not believe it is possible to have too many pumpkin recipes in my baking arsenal. On the blog this week, I shared my Pumpkin Cake with Cream Cheese Filling and topped with oat streusel.
I also shared my Slow Cooker Tomato Beef Steak – filled with the rich flavor of beef and vegetables and is the perfect way to enjoy a hearty meal without spending a lot of time in the kitchen.
I had two amazing guests on the podcast this week. If you struggle at all with falling and staying asleep, you’ll want to check out my interview with Founder of Reclaim Your Sleep, Kelsey Jack. She shares the secrets that are helping thousands of women fall asleep fast and overcome insomnia for good!
We also heard from famed acting and presentation coach, Billie Shepard, who shares how to overcome anxiety when public speaking and present with confidence. Don’t miss Billie’s expert advice including simple techniques to project your voice and your confidence the next time you are a public speaker.
Let’s check out more inspiration from this week’s Wonderful Wednesday Blog Hop!
