Meal Plan #96 & Thanksgiving Dinner Hacks
Happy meal planning Monday! Enjoy this weekโs healthy recipes and 4 Thanksgiving dinner hacks to help you host with ease and save some time.
Thanksgiving week is upon us! If you find yourself hosting a Thanksgiving dinner, the amount of prep, cooking, and clean-up can seem daunting. Make your gathering run a little bit smoother with these easy Thanksgiving dinner hacks that will save you some precious time.
Keep the mashed potatoes warm in the slow cooker
Nothing is worse than cold, gluey mashed potatoes that have been sitting out too long. Utilize your slow cooker to keep your spuds creamy and tasty! Add some butter to the liner and spoon them into the slow cooker. Set it to warm and stir about every hour.
Revive your turkey with chicken broth
If youโve overcooked your turkey and the meat is dry, drizzle it with some warm chicken broth. It will moisten and add flavor to your turkey. This also helps perk up slices that have been sitting out and are cold.
Set your table the night before
You should try to do anything you can the night before, including setting the table. Add your linens, serving dishes and utensils, individual serving sets, seasonings, etc to the table. This helps contribute to an overall sense of calm on the big day. Also, take the time to grab extra chairs, high chairs, and kidsโ dishes too.
Free up fridge space with a cooler
Thereโs never enough room in the fridge on Thanksgiving day! To help free up some space, fill a cooler with ice and load it up with canned beverages, juice, wine, and any other drinks. This gives you space in the fridge and also keeps your guests from crowding in the kitchen.
Now onto this weekโs meal plan.
