Easy Honey Oat Bread Machine Recipe

If you have been to my house for dinner, then you have more than likely had my Honey Oat Bread and also my Chicken Broccoli and Cheddar Quinoa Casserole.

This Honey Oat Bread is one of the best homemade bread recipes I have ever made, and it has been a serving staple.

For years I made bread by hand, and now with my Oster Bread Machine (one of the highest rated 2lb bread machines on Amazon), homemade bread is no longer a labor love.

This bread takes 10 minutes to prepare. Literally. I timed it. It takes 10 minutes to throw the ingredients into the machine and press the buttons.

Set the time for whenever you want warm delicious bread to be ready and voila – fabulous homemade bread. This is also a staple in the meals I give away to people. Once it’s done, I wrap it in tin foil and arrive with a loaf of warm homemade bread.

With a pinch of flax seed and a combination of white and whole wheat, you can serve a wholesome homemade bread that will leave everyone asking for more.

Bon appetit!

Make sure you put the correct ingredients in first. The Oster Bread Machine recommends the liquid ingredients first.

Dry ingredients with the “yeast well”. Does anyone know why it’s recommended to make a little well for the yeast? I’ve always heard you should do this, but have never actually been told why.

It was 1030am when I threw the ingredients in the machine. I wanted fresh bread at 5p when we eat dinner. I set the timer for the bread to be finished in 6 hours and 30 minutes. For this bread I recommend setting the crust to a medium finish.

This recipe is so good! The watery comment must have not put enough flour in or missed the oats. I use 1/4 cup 7 grain cereal for the flax seed, it has flax in it too. This bread is soo tender and flavorful. The only recipe I’ll use now!

I had to half this recipe, I tried it the first time and it overflowed my Cuisinart, halved it and set to 1.5lbs and it turned out fine.

This bread is absolutely delicious. It’s my husband’s favorite. The reason for four stars intead of five is that I have encountered a serious problem every time I make it – the dough is very wet at the end of the first knead. I always have to add 1/4 to 1/2 cup of extra bread flour or I have a sticky mess. I just add enough flour so that a round dough ball forms on the hooks and the outcome is still perfect. I almost always remove it from the bread machine before the final rise and transfer to a bread pan and bake it in the oven – 375° for approximately 25-30 minutes. So, so good! This one’s a keeper.
