All-Inclusive Family Friendly Resort In Cancun Mexico
Join us for some fun in the sun in Cancun Mexico at our favorite all-inclusive family-friendly resort to date!
A week or so ago we were blessed by my in-laws to spend a week of fun in the sun in beautiful Cancun, Mexico at a gorgeous family-friendly all-inclusive resort.
Despite only one full day of sun (the last day), we had an amazing time and are already scheming a plan to return.
Be sure to read to the end to watch the video!
We stayed overnight at the Philadelphia airport hotel prior to our early morning flight. Caleb was half asleep when I took this pic.
This one on the other hand not so much. So excited for Mexico!
Up bright and early to catch our flight!
Here we go.
Our kiddos had never beenon a plane before except when Gracie went to the Cayman Islands with us at 7 weeks old.
They loved watching the planes land and take off.
Between Zach’s parents and his two sisters our kiddos didn’t have to look far to find people to play with.
Time for takeoff!
Caleb was making me laugh on takeoff. He kept giggling when we would hit air pockets making his “stomach jump.” You can hear him on the video at the end.
Unfortunately all that “stomach jumping” made him sick. Nothing a little dramamine didn’t fix on the flight home.
Almost there!
We made it! The Fives welcomed us with drinks and a tour of the massive resort.
These bracelets had chips in them and allowed us access to all of the resort rooms etc.

The Fives Resort
Hello sunshine!
This was the villa we stayed at.
Our suite opened up to this kids’ pool, and Lily was in the water instantly.
Our kids spent hours in this pool outside of our room.
We mentioned many times how nice it was to be at a resort where everyone expected there to be kids and families. It was super laid back, and I never felt concerned about our kids being too loud or rambunctious. The place caters to families which was amazing.
It was sweet to watch our kids play with children from all over the world, speaking different languages, and was a much-needed reminder that kindness and a smile always translates the same.
Lots of fun with Aunt Aubrey and Aunt Abby this week!
My tanning partner.
There were tons of pools scattered throughout the resort. This one neighbored ours and was a lot more active with ping pong tables, a pool table, and a large jenga block set which was fun.
4 going on 24. Lord help us.
Even the ash trays were pretty here.
They had a beautiful nature trail that wound through the center of the resort where you could see monkeys and other wildlife.

Food
I would be lying if I didn’t tell you that the food at an all-inclusive resort is my favorite part.
Waking up and not having to make breakfast for anyone.
Lying on the beach with multiple lunch options a couple steps away (that I don’t have to make).
Showering after a relaxing day in the sun without worrying about whether or not I have everything I need to make a dinner my kids may or may not even like.
That is what this momma calls a VACATION. Can I get an amen.
There were over a dozen restaurant options at this resort, and there was something to love about every one of them.
There was Mediterranean food.
Caleb’s new name among the Mexican women became “hermoso” (handsome). Ha. Chalk it up to the blond hair and blue eyes. I’m sure the dimples didn’t hurt.
Italian food! The tiramisu at the Italian restaurant was voted best dessert. The cinnamon churros at the Mexican restaurant came in close second
Caleb usually didn’t last much past dinner time each night. Ha.
The French restaurant was one of my faves.
As I said. He usually didn’t make it past dinner time.
Custom omelet with fresh papaya was my go-to each morning at the breakfast buffet.
The only COVID restrictions that I noticed were masks in the restaurants and then a glove over your serving hand at the buffet.
Other than that there was a lot of freedom, and everyone was incredibly respectful of the rules and each other’s space.
French toast with nutella was a delicious breakfast treat.
This one never snuggles, hence the smile on my face.
They had food stands set up all throughout the resort. One of our favorites was this street tacos stand.
Lunch was usually on the beach was either burgers, pizzas or tacos freshly made at one of their many stands.
One evening housekeeping surprised mom and dad with rose petals and chocolates.

Fun
Zach taught Caleb how to play chess early on in the week, and it became a regular request to play.
Checkers with a 4 year old was an adventure. Checkers with a 4 year old who happens to be Lily should have an asterisk that says *play at your own risk.
There were games set up all over the place which was fun.
There were tennis courts that we never reserved a time for, but the kids got tennis lessons one day at the kids club (included in the resort – no upcharge).
The kids loved the kids club that was included at the resort.
They made bracelets, pinatas, crafts, played games, had a dance off . . .
face painting.
We could drop them off for whatever classes they wanted, and then pick them up when they were done. You could do as much or as little of the day as you wanted.
They also had a teen club that started at age 13. Caleb already informed us we must come back for teen club because they have video games.
Noted Caleb.

Beach Time
The beach tunnel!
This is where we spent most of the day.
We played beach tennis for hours. It was so cute watching our kids play siblings versus siblings with other familes.
We adults played for hours as well. It’s fun because it felt like college again. You just stand there with a paddle looking forlorn and lonely and before you know it there’s a bunch of people ready to play.
It was awesome.
Caleb and his sweet Mexican friend, Tadeo, played for a long time on the beach. It was so sweet because neither of them spoke the other’s language, but they would just follow each other around playing, laughing, building castles, hitting beach tennis.
There was lots of fun to be had on these barriers.
Zach and I attempting to capture the requisite couple’s pic on the beach.
This is what little sisters are for right?
To make getting pictures more difficult.
We love you Abby.
8th time’s a charm.
Loved the time with my girls!
Grateful for this family!
Lily, smile please.
Good enough.
The staff was AMAZING, the food was delicious, the rooms were great – we highly recommend The Fives, and look forward to coming back to Cancun Mexico again!
Until next time!
