DIY Christmas Tablescape

Using ornaments and a mix of garlands this DIY Christmas tablescape is an easy concept that could be switched out year after year.

I bought three miniature poinsettias at our local grocery store and wrapped two clearance garlands in a circle around them.

Both garlands had pine cones already incorporated into them.  My sister-in-law has made little circular Birch tree ornaments for each member of our family for a couple of years, and this year I decided to add them to my “Pines and Garland” tablescape theme.

I hung them on candles as well as the garland.

These candlesticks are from Pottery Barn and are no longer available, but there are similar ones here.  I absolutely love the vintage combination of mercury and glass!

Many guests ask about the taper candles that I use.  My mom introduced me to these many years ago and they are the BEST.

They are made by Root Candles and can be found in a variety of sizes and colors (see here).  I have never seen candles burn so evenly.

They are the only ones I use anymore because I light them anywhere and trust that they will not drip.

To go along with the pine cone theme I added a cute little ornament to each place setting.  These vintage farmhouse-style ornaments I found a couple of years ago at our local hardware store, believe it or not!

The plates are a vintage Queen Anne set for 12 that I originally bought for $60 at a thrift store and have been gradually adding to my collection from Etsy and eBay when I find more for sale.

Santa hat with pine cones.  Ok, I’m almost done, but it’s really hard to stop.

JOY.  PEACE.  HOPE.  Merry Christmas, and I hope you enjoy the fellowship around your table as much as we will enjoy ours!
