Cookie Bars Chocolate Chip
Easy and delicious this recipe for cookie bars chocolate chip is a crowd favorite and makes the perfect sweet treat for any get-together!

I am always looking for a quick and easy sweet treat recipe that is sure to be a crowd pleaser. It is pretty hard to go wrong with chocolate chip cookie bars.
This recipe for cookie bars, not surprisingly, includes my go-to cookie dough secret ingredient – instant pudding.
I make the best chocolate chip cookies with this base recipe, these yummy mint chocolate cookies, but for the first time, I made bars.
I may have landed on a new favorite because let’s be honest, whipping together the ingredients and then spreading it out into a pan 9×13 baking dish is a lot easier than individually dropping 36 cookies onto two and a half baking sheets (why can’t it ever be just two sheets even ?).
In my experience, the key to perfectly baked cookies, or in this case, cookie bars, is to slightly underbake them. Just slightly because as they cool they firm up and dry out a little. Keeping them slightly underbaked allows for that perfect soft center with a hint of crispy on the outside.
Bon appetit!
