Coffee Chat & A Sneak Peek Of Gracie’s Show

Share With A Friend

Happy Saturday! Grab a cuppa jo and join me for a fun look at the week in review including a sneak peek of Gracie’s upcoming show!

As per our family’s usual it has been a busy fall full of sports and, this year, musical rehearsals.

In addition to sitting at football games watching Zach’s team play, we also get to cheer on my sister’s varsity volleyball team

Her head coach concentration face.

Cousins in the stands!

Love this girl.

My first cousin, Aaron, is in the middle. Zach’s first cousin, Tyler, is on the right. In 9 months Zach’s cousin is going to become my cousin’s cousin through marriage to my sister. Haha. We are going to have the most complicated family tree ever.

The other morning I came out of my office to see these 3 cuddling on the couch before school. It melted my heart because our typical before-school routine involves a lot more yelling and chaos.

I pray these babies will still be cuddling 10 years from now, and I cannot wait to add their baby brother to the mix. We finished up what we hope will be our very last home study update and i600a paperwork so that God-willing we will be matched with our son through adoption sometime next year!

If you have been around here for any length of time, or if you follow me on Instagram, then you probably have seen the saga that is Lily’s wardrobe changes. She is known for her creative fashion choices.

This particular night she told me she needed to change into her “dinner attire.”

I got a call yesterday from Caleb’s principal. The school was honoring him for his leadership because several teachers witnessed him standing up to a group of students making fun of an autistic girl. I could not be more proud of his kind, brave heart.

Thank you SO much to all of you who voted on a dress for my sister’s wedding. I chose this one! It is going to need some alterations, but I am so excited to see her special day come together. I cannot WAIT to share more with you.

You ladies are going to LOVE this venue. I will have to do a separate post highlighting this amazing reclaimed building in Lancaster City and see if I can get some before and after shots from the owners.

No we have not found a property yet, but I have been hard at work locking down the proposed footprint for our house so that when the right property or reno comes up we are ready. We are grateful for this rental house, but boy I cannot WAIT for the next chapter.

What happened to my baby girl? Oh my goodness, Gracie’s new headshot makes her look so old. Last weekend the cast of CAVOD’s Tale Of Two Cities gave a show preview in the Lititz Spring’s Park.

My grandmother and aunt surprised Gracie by showing up to cheer her on. Below are two video previews of the show. Forgive the sound quality of the first number as only a couple of people have mics which makes it hard to hear the full ensemble. Get your tickets to the show HERE!

We made it a fun family day in downtown Lititz and took dinner to the park. If you want to know the best pizza in Lititz, PA it is Roma’s Pizza. FYI.

This week on the podcast, I shared my favorite protein powder picks. Cut through the clutter of protein supplements, and discover how to choose the best protein powder for weight loss and muscle build.

On the blog, I shared a throwback to one of my favorite fall mantels from our French Country Cottage. Grab a warm cup of coffee and enjoy some fall inspiration!

If you missed it, my favorite Pumpkin Creme Pies are on the blog too! Oatmeal creme pies meet pumpkin whoopie pies in this recipe with light but rich pumpkin cookies and a creamy whipped filling.

Let’s check out more inspiration from this week’s Wonderful Wednesday Blog Hop!

Everything is better in a mason jar, especially these mason jar apple pies made with cinnamon and sugar-sweetened apples and topped with flaky pie crust.

Are you a coffee lover? If so then you have to give these cappuccino cookies a try.

Terra cotta pots are one of the most versatile decor pieces for both the home and garden, and this is the perfect way to age them for that vintage look.

This fast and easy fall tin door decor for your home takes only 15 minutes to put together and is a great alternative to a door wreath.

The crockpot does all the work for you with this crockpot pumpkin hot chocolate so you can relax and enjoy this tasty treat.

This Greek lemon chicken soup is one of the best “feel better” soups around thanks to the extra blast of vitamin C. If you’re feeling under the weather, this might do the trick.

Have a great weekend!

    1. What a wonderful opportunity for your sweet girl to be able to be part of a Christian performing arts. I would have loved that for my sweet girl when she was younger. She did a lot of acting, and anything from a Christian point of view was few and far between. So I am super excited for your sweet girl! Thank you for sharing your dress choice, it’s going to be so beautiful on you for your sister’s wedding. Also, if you want a different and simpler recipe for Avgolemono that is way more authentic, since I am full Greek from immigrant parents, I’d be happy to share! ? Blessings on you all, continuing prayers for your adoption and leading to a new home.
