Meal Plan #98 & Tea Hacks
Happy meal planning Monday! Enjoy this week’s healthy recipes and 4 tea hacks to use to solve some of your everyday problems.
Enjoying a warm cup of tea can be so relaxing, but when we’re done, those tea bags are usually thrown right in the trash. After reading these hacks, you’re going to want to hang onto them and put them to good use around your home.
Relieve your tired eyes
If you have tired, achy, or puffy eyes, soak two tea bags in warm water and place them on your closed eyes for 20 minutes. The tannins (a group of compounds found in tea) help reduce puffiness and soothe eyes.
Clean wood furniture and floors
Boil a few tea bags in a quart of water and let it cool. Dip a soft cloth in your tea and wipe away any dirt and grime. Buff dry with a clean, dry cloth.
Shine your mirrors
Tea can actually make your mirrors shine and sparkle! Brew a pot of strong tea, let it cool, and use it to clean your mirrors. Buff with a soft, dry cloth for a streak-free shine.
Prepare planter for potting
For healthier potted plants, place a few tea bags on top of the drainage area of your pot before adding your plant. The tea bags will retain water and leach nutrients into the soil!
