Take any old t-shirt and a pair of scissors and learn how to cut a shirt into a cute side-tie tee with this easy DIY tutorial.

Do you have 3,921 t-shirts stuffed into your dresser like me? We all love a free t-shirt, but at the end of the day we only wear half of them.
So I have started cutting them up into cuter versions.
All you need?
A scissors.
Any scissors will do, but the cleanest cut will come by using fabric scissors.

#1. Cut off the neckline, sleeve, and base hems.

#2. Cut horizontally at the desired length and then vertically toward the base edge.
The important step here is to mark where you want the length to land.
Find a shirt that you already like the length of and lay it over the tee. Make a small cut in the side of the tee , so you know where to start your hem line.
Then cut horizontaly and then vertically as the picture shows.

#3. Cut the triangular piece along the fold.
