#1. 3-IN-1 SPLASH PAD
This 3-in-1 splash pad, sprinkler for kids, and toddler pool was one of the best $20 investments our family has made yet! Below is a video of the sprinklers turning on and the pool filling up.
I love that you can vary the height of the fountains by turning the water pressure up or down on the hose. It is SO easy. SO convenient. And all three of my kids played in it this past for hours.
Turn off the fountains and the tiny pool retains the water, but it is easy to dump and put away when finished.

#2. Aqua Magic Doodle Mat Extra Mess Free
This is on Lily’s Christmas list this year. I don’t know about your 3 year old, but my 3 old cannot be trusted with markers. Or Crayons for that matter (magic erasers work wonders on getting crayon off walls and cabinets by the way).

#3. MELISSA AND DOUG WATER COLORING BOOKS
If there is one gift that each of my kids would be excited about getting time and time again it is these magic water coloring books. They have gotten some for Christmas, birthdays, travel packs etc. They can be taken anywhere, and there is no risk of getting marker on anything. Just fill the brush with water and color. Reuse them again and again!

#4. PRINCESS NAIL POLISH SET
My girls love nail polish. Lily asks me weekly to paint her nails. She will take my nail file and start “filing” her nails on her own and then ask me to paint them.

#5. Leap Frog Shapes and Sharing Picnic Basket
Lily was actually given this picnic basket for her first birthday, and it still gets consistent playing time. It makes numerous sounds when you open the basket and has a set up for 2.
I think it is worth noting that the noises are not overly irritating as this is always a high selling point in our house.

#6. TRAVEL NECK PILLOW FOR KIDS
Our kids each have a car blanket and a neck pillow at their car seats. I like the way this neck pillow wraps around to the front as well as the back as well to avoid “the bob.”

This fun play coffee machine is also on Lily’s Christmas list this year. I saw someone else raving about how their 4 year old loved it, and I think Lily will love all the pieces and the sound the coffee machine makes. This way she can have her sips of coffee like Mommy! #raisethemright

#8. Fisher Price Smart purse
Between Gracie and Lily as babies, I have heard hours of unintelligible conversations on the cell phone from this purse.
It makes fun noises when you open the purse as well as when you use the zipper. Even at 3 Lily still loves to take the items in and out this purse to “be like mommy.”

My kids love playing with these bathtub finger paints, and they make the perfect stocking stuffer. I buy a pack every year and divide them up between the kids stockings.

This Click N Play Beach Sand Toy Set was a great deal on Amazon and Lily got it for her birthday before the beach last year. These toys got hours and hours of play, and I love that you can rinse the toys off in the water through the mesh bag

It has been fun to watch my kids start to play together as they each get older. I bought these walkie talkies in hopes of encouraging those times when they are all 3 in the mood to play!

#12. FISHER PRICE LAUGH AND LEARN sweet manners TEA SET
This tea set has been on this list for several years, but this is an updated version. The fact is Lily still plays with the set that Gracie originally got 5 years ago, and I think I have only changed the batteries once! $15 for a toy that has lasted 5 years and still gets played with? Yes please.

#13. Melissa and Doug Cardboard Building Blocks
These sturdy cardboard blocks are tons of fun, and I cannot count the number of towers, walls and bridges that have been built and knocked down – rinse and repeat! They fit well in a standard size storage bench/ottoman such as the one below that also doubles as seating.

Here are a couple favorites that are over $30, but have been worth every penny.
The Thomas Wooden Railway set needs little review. This toy has stood the test of time, and watching my children play with this set at anyone’s house who still had it from when their own children were little, made me realize that this is one of those collections that will become a generational favorite and will continue to be passed down.
Thomas the Wooden Railway has tons of accessories and options to build on to it for years. For Caleb’s 3rd birthday, everyone in the family contributed to get it started, and continued to add pieces over the years. Gracie, Caleb and Lily play with this table all the time, and it is so fun to watch them play all together.
