Anytime we renovate a house we inevitably end up with tons of pallet wood skids.
The kitchen cabinets come on pallet skids, the furniture comes on pallet skids – the list goes on.
If you want pallet wood but don’t have any pallets to recycle, try Facebook Marketplace in your surrounding area and Google “pallets.”
Some stores will sell their pallet skids for a couple of bucks each.
For those of you local, Green Hills Farm Discount Grocer sells them for $5/pallet.

Perhaps the simplest way to use extra pallet wood, consider this easy DIY tutorial on how to make a pallet wood sign. This sign doesn’t even require stenciling!
