Meal Plan #105 & Freezer Hacks
Happy meal planning Monday! Enjoy this week’s healthy recipes and 4 freezer hacks that will help you with more things around the home than just freezing food.
Freezers are way more useful than you could ever imagine! Yes, they’re great for freezing food, but they also can help with other things around the home, like candles, odors, and batteries. Here are my favorite freezer hacks:
Make your candles last longer
Having a dinner party or simply want your candles to last longer? Pop them in the freezer for at least two hours and it will prolong their burn time. This is especially helpful for the long, thin taper candles.
Clean a burnt pot
Your favorite pot has been left on the stove too long and now has burnt on food to clean off. Place the pot in the freezer for a few hours. When the burned food freezes, it becomes easier to remove.
Remove odors
If you have a musty-smelling book or some stinky Tupperware containers, place them in the freezer overnight. By morning, they will be fresh again! This works for almost any small item that you can place in the freezer.
Prolong battery life
Did you know batteries begin to discharge at room temperature (even when not in use)? Storing batteries in the freezer can reduce their charge loss by up to 90%!
Now onto this week’s meal plan.
