Kids Clothing Box – The New Way To Shop?
This spring I decided to try a new (stress LESS) way to shop for my kids’ clothing – a kids clothing box from Stitch Fix. Here’s how it went.
First of all, I don’t know about you but as my offspring get older they suddenly become experts in the world of fashion and the random clothing purchases on Amazon are no longer satisfactory.
Or in the case of this child, no clothing is considered acceptable.
The problem is that as soon as we step into a store to find clothes it seems that all products other than candy or toys cease to exist.
No, you may not get that toy with 5 million pieces that you will lose in a week – we are here to buy clothes.
Let’s not even talk about the disaster that awaits when taking 3 hyperactive children into a fitting room. #whosekidsarethose
This momma needs easy, time-effective kids clothing shopping that offers quality threads without costing more than what I pay for myself (I am sorry, but I am not dressing my children nicer than I dress myself).

Kids Clothing Box – Stitch Fix
I have been getting a clothing box from Stitch Fix every couple of months for over a year now, and I love it.
It forces me to try on clothing that I would otherwise have never pulled off the rack, and it’s shocking how often I end up keeping that very piece.
Like this shirt. Never would have pulled it off the rack, but I ended up buying it in 2 colors.

But let’s talk about the kids. The video below is a fun look at the morning they opened their boxes for the first time.
Kids Clothing Box – Stitch Fix
This spring I decided to try the Stitch Fix kids’ clothing program so I didn’t have to take them out shopping, but they could also try on clothes that were suited to their tastes.
This is what sets aside this program from buying and returning any old online store because your kids can yay or nay an outfit on the Stitch Fix style quiz and then a real-life human (your personal stylist) puts together your kids clothing box based on their preferences.
The first time I did this I was amazed at the attention to detail. Everything from prints and styles you would never wear to what you were willing to spend.
They will hand select 8-12 pieces to send your child to try at home. Keep your kid’s favorites, send back the rest.
Every single item that came in the kids clothing boxes was around $20/each but they go as low as $10.. Even the adorable sneakers Gracie got . . . and kept . . . and wore to school the same day. #winwin
This whole outfit came in her first Stitch Fix box. She opened her box in the morning and put together an entire outfit she loved and wore it right to school.
Now that’s what I call convenient!
They carry thousands of styles including popular brands plus new labels exclusive to Stitch Fix.
Caleb’s first-ever box was not so successful (although he wanted to keep everything in it) because there were too many outfits similar to what he already owned.
He did keep that shirt though!
When I checked out online I told his stylist this feedback, and the next box will be more tailored to what he needs.
This cutie did not get a Stitch Fix box as at this point she is able to wear Gracie’s hand-me-downs, but she did not want to miss the modeling opportunity. 🙂
Whatever you don’t want to keep from the box gets placed into this prepaid, pre-labeled bag that you set out on your front porch for USPS pick up.
It is SO easy.
At this point, we have set up the kids’ clothing boxes for a monthly delivery but you could change it to whatever time frame you want.
For example, I get a box every other month.
Cancel at any time!
