DIY Stained Glass Window
Learn how to create a faux stained glass window with this easy trick and add privacy to any window or door!
DIY Stained Glass Window
The first-floor half-bath in our third fixer-upper is small (see the before tour here!) .
It is in the back of the house which is north facing and has one small window that looks out onto the Trex deck.
I removed all of the hardware to keep it less crowded feeling and contemplated how to add privacy without the bulk of shades or blinds. Enter this decorative window film by Bloss!
It comes in several styles and can be used on any door or window! Check out these examples below!

#2. Measure and Cut
Make sure you have the pattern the right direction and also that you are drawing on the removable backing and not the film itself!
Cut!

#3. Peel and Wet
Peel the backing off of the film and set it aside. Soak your clean old sock and wet the window thoroughly. Place the film on the window.

#4. Smooth
Smooth the air bubbles out with the sock.
Rinse and repeat as needed! We have had this decorative glass film on for several months now, and it has not peeled back at all.
I think the secret is to make sure the glass is very wet when you add the film.
This is a great way to add light into a room without “overexposure!” 😉

Thanks Julie!
The window looks amazing! I love the design. It’s great that it still lets a lot of light in, too.
Thanks Michelle! Yes, we LOVE the light!
