This 3-in-1 splash pad, sprinkler for kids, and toddler pool has been the best $30 summer investment our family has made yet! Below is a video of the sprinklers turning on and the pool filling up. I love that you can vary the height of the fountains by turning the water pressure up or down on the hose. It is SO easy. SO convenient. And all three of my kids play in it for hours. Turn off the fountains and the tiny pool retains the water, but it is easy to dump and put away when finished.

I mentioned that my kids play in the above splash pad for hours. Their favorite toy to play with is this dive and catch net. When the sprinklers are on high it makes it difficult to see the bottom of the little pool so the kids “dive in” and find the fish to put in the net! We also throw in this set of dive and find “treasures.”
Zach and I go to the beach with our kiddos every summer. We both grew up going to the beach every year, and it is still one of our very favorite places to be. Going to the beach is like camping. You get a routine down with the right equipment, and it’s a much more enjoyable experience. This beach cart is one of those essential items. You can stack 4 chairs on the end, the umbrella on the side, toys, blanket and towels in the basket, and lunch in the cooler. We have had ours for almost 5 years now!
Lily got this beach pool blanket as a birthday gift two years ago. It’s great for younger kids that you don’t want as close to the water. Just dig a hole in the sand, place the blanket above, and then use a bucket to fill it with water. On the reverse side it is soft like a blanket. I would recommend this for toddler – preschool aged kids.
Ok I have two favorite pairs of sunglasses. This first one is a vintage style frame that cost $5. Yes. $5. And they are amazing and come in a gazillion colors. They hold up really well (my first pair lasted me 3 years?!), and are perfect for throwing into your car, a beach bag, a pool bag etc. I actually run in these glasses sometimes too.
This second pair is more expensive and have a pretty retro look to them. They cost a total of $15. Yup. Can you tell I am not into expensive sunglasses? High end look for a low end cost. Yes please. They have over 10,000 4-5 star reviews and come in a bunch of colors. These sunglasses are comfy, cute and always make my summer must-haves list!

Speaking of travel necessities, I like the way this neck pillow wraps around to the front as well as the back as well to avoid “the bob.” The kids each have their own car blanket and a neck pillow at their seats all year round, but these especially come in handy for our annual summer vacations!
YETI tumblers are amazing. They are incredibly durable, keep your drink hot or cold for hours, and conveniently fit in just about any cup holder. Our recent road trip I noted that my YETI kept my coffee actually HOT for almost 4 hours. I love this one that I got personalized, and there are multiple color options and font choices.
This cot is a must-have for toddlers and young kids. We use them all the time for camping, going to our family cabin, overnights, traveling. Set up is unbelievably easy and does not instigate the muttering of any 4-letter words which is not insignificant for those of us who have made it through the Pack N Play years. I mean seriously people, I have two Masters degrees and I swear a rocket scientist wouldn’t be able to figure out some of these “easy to use” kids’ items.

#3. Croc Sandals
Girl’s Cross Strap Croc Sandals
We have tried so many brands of sandals/summer shoes over the years. Toms. Keen. Merrel. Target. Lands End. Janie and Jack. The list goes on. After soles tearing, fabric ripping, leather scuffing, and straps breaking – our go-to summer sandal brand is CROC. Every year. My kids also have the traditional open back closed toe CROCs as well, but they have so many great sandal options for the summer and they are easy for kids to put on, comfortable, have a good grip, and are SO EASY to clean. Hose them off or for the toughest stains use a damp Magic Eraser. They will look brand new.
And guess what? They have adult sizes too. My go-to day-to-day summer sandals are both by CROC. Literally just yesterday a woman said how much she loved my sandals, and she couldn’t believe they were CROCs! Comfy and cute! I have had these sandals for three years now.

Women’s Travel Bags by Malirona
Last Christmas each of my girls and I got one of these travel bags by Malirona, and for the low price I was very pleasantly surprised by the quality! They have a Vera Bradley vibe but for half the price tag. Each of these bags has a travel strap on the back so as to make it easy walking through an airport with a suitcase. Malirona has beach totes, weekend bags, clutches, laptop bags etc.
