Renovated Stone Farmhouse Before Tour Part 2

Enjoy the before tour part 2 of this gorgeously renovated stone farmhouse that dates back to 18th century.

Now to the inside of the house!

The original dining room would become the Master Bedroom suite.

The kitchen is part of the new addition.

Remember the original log house?

Here is the fireplace from 1763. George Washington was President when the owners baked bread in here.

Here is my mom in her bedroom.

Again my mom’s bedroom. That’s a closet that has just been framed out.

Here is my uncle taking his turn at the tedious job of plaster removal. I have been there!

Here is what would be the formal living room with doorway to the hall on the right and door to formal dining room on the left.

On the wall beyond the right door in the picture above my grandparents found this written on the plaster.

They were writing on the walls in 1827! My grandfather had it framed and put plexiglass over it to preserve it, and it can still be seen there today!

These were the stairs leading down to the basement of the main house. My grandfather left the wooden slats exposed and hung old tools on them.
